Uninvited visitor

Ihr wundert Euch bestimmt das ich heute schon wieder einen neuen Post einstelle.Als ich die Fotos für den gestrigen Post ausgesucht habe,flatterte etwas Dunkles ganz nah an meinem Kopf vorbei.Zuerst dachte ich es sei ein Schmetterling,doch als ich mich umdrehte sah ich eine Fledermaus.In diesem Moment war aber schon eine meiner Katzen da und schlug sie mit der Pfote zu Boden.Ich verscheuchte sofort die Mietze und rief nach Mr. Shabby um mir Handschuhe zu holen.Derweil flog mein Besuch auf das Bücherregal.Hier war sie leicht einzufangen und wurde erstmal im Schuhkarton platziert.Nach Recherche im Netz sollte ich sie abends auf erhöhter Position fliegen lassen.

 You are probably surprised that I´m posting today again.While picking out the pictures for yesterdays post,something dark flew real close by my head.At first I thought it was a butterfly,but as I turned around I saw that it was a bat.Unfortunately one of my cats saw it also and hit it onto the floor.I chased her away and called for Mr. Shabby to bring me some gloves.Meanwhile my little visitor flew on the bookshelf.There it was easy to catch and I put it in a shoebox.After research in the web I was supposed to set it free in an elevated position at dusk.

Endlich war die Dämmerung angebrochen und ich brachte sie raus in den Garten.Sie krabbelte zügig aus dem Karton, nur wollte sie nicht wegfliegen.Ich beobachtete das gute drei Stunden lang und ging dann zu Bett.

 Finally twilight arrived and I took the bat into the garden.She swiftly crawled out of the box,but didn´t want to fly away.I checked on her for about three hours and then went to bed.

Heute morgen hatte ich gleich nachgeschaut und sie war immer noch da.Ich rief diverse Tierschutzorgas an und konnte nach schier endlosen Telefonaten endlich einen Fledermausexperten in meiner Nähe finden.Dort sollte ich sie heute abend vorbei bringen.Doch es gibt leider kein Happy End...als ich sie zum Auto tragen wollte,war sie leider verstorben.
Traurig,ich hatte so gehofft sie abends ums Haus fliegen zu sehen :( .


First thing this morning I checked the garden and she was still there.I called several animal protection organizations and after endless phone calls I finally found a bat expert that lives close by.I was supposed to bring the little thing to him this evening.But there is no Happy End...as I was ready to take her to the car she had passed away .
Sad, I had hoped to see her flying around our house in the evenings :( .
